Finally, the Faro Verde would also have the vocation to integrate into the anarchic urbanization of Pascuales, an island of greenery that would materialize – beyond the bamboo structure of the tower – in the form of vertical food crops, in the spirit of a vertical farm. Women would thus have the opportunity to train in permaculture workshops and to reclaim the knowledge of Ecuador’s ecosystems from which they can benefit.
In addition, it would also be a certain form of return to the roots: indeed, on the one hand the population of Pascuales has historically consisted of people coming from the surrounding countryside and formerly living on their own land, on the other hand the houses were built of bamboo: a local and naturally anti-seismic material.
